Global Village 2004 has been a major and great touristy attraction where all of the 15 participating countries gathered in this village to create a global business center where all participated countries exchanged trade, and enthusiastically exhibits and sell their national products within their architectural pavilions reflecting their tradition, folklore, cuisine and handicrafts.
Global Village Amman 2004:
This event was a successful project that took place in Amman.
Location :Marj Al-Hamam area
Area : 120,000 m2
Duration :During July 15th until August 25th, 2004.
Countries that participated : Egypt, Iran, Morocco Syria, Kuwait, China
Thailand, Palestine, Gulf & Sudan
Daily visitor : 15,000 - 30,000
This project is a private sector project fully supported by the Jordanian Government and financed by its founder Ahmad Al Masri Corporation (AMC).
It was the best event that Jordan ever witnessed with both its Grand theatre of which Rotana Satellite station sponsored 8 activities and hosted famous Arab singers, such as (Haifa Wahbeh, Wael Kfoury, Shireen, Fadel Shaker, Dina Hayek, Ihab Tawfiq, Asi Hilani, Rami Ayash). Moreover, lots of other National & International activities took place on the theatre for 40 days.
The Fun Fair, was shipped from England for this specific event and was one of the main attractions to all the visitors.
Given the great importance and magnitude of such an opportune event, it is worth mentioning that those who will contribute their association in the project will reap far reaching benefits in its continuation and in the local and international recognition and/or exposure that certainly insure added values in newly discovered trade horizons.
Comment on the Daily Visitors :
The visitors for the Global Village 2004 will increase in the coming Global Village 2005 by at least 45%, due to the fact that this event has already become a distinguished Jordanian Annual Summer Festival and is recognized on the local, regional, and international arenas.
Global Village 2005 :
This event will be taking place annually in same location.
GV 2005 Duration : From June 30th until July 31st 2005
Current participating countries : Egypt, Syria, Kuwait, Iran, China , Thailand, Pakistan, Palestine, India, Bangladesh, Tunis ,UK, South Africa, UAE, Malaysia, Sudan, Morocco,Ukraine, Lebanon, Turkey, Singapore, Saudi Arabia.
And 3 countries are still in the final stages of signing their contract.
Important facts to be taken into consideration:
The population of Jordan is 5.5 million and this number escalates tremendously during the period of the event (July & August) due to the fact that around 350 000 expatriates flow to Jordan for their vacation – and it also coincide with school holidays.
It is worth mentioning that the inauguration of GV 2005 will be under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah the II.

The procedures for organizing a Pavilion for a country goes as follows:-
If it is not organized by the government :
a. The company should send us a Letter of Intent
b. Accordingly Global Village management will provide them with a preliminary acceptance to organize the country Pavilion
c. They should obtain the approval of their Ministry of Trade or a relevant official authority or the country's embassy in Jordan
d. GV management will provide them with the Participant Manual
e. They should submit to GV management the architectural designs, sketches and layout of their Pavilion which should reflect the heritage of the country and obtain the Final GV management approval
f. After submitting the above, they should cover the required amount and sign the agreement with GV management
g. Constructing of pavilions' dead line May 20th, 2005
h. To be ready for arranging commodities on June 28th, 2005
i. Opening day to be 30th June
Cost of spaces allocated for pavilions :
750 sqm = USD 7,000 (minimum plot)
Cost of spaces allocated Restaurants
50 sqm = USD 4,000
100 sqm = USD 8,000
